Visit of Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Second Minister for Education Dr Maliki Bin Osman to Negara Brunei Darussalam, 23 to 26 April 2023

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, and Second Minister for Education Dr Maliki Bin Osman visited Brunei from 23 to 26 April 2023 for his annual Hari Raya visit.  

 

During the visit, Minister Maliki had an audience with the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah. During their discussions, they reaffirmed the special and close friendship between Singapore and Brunei and our wide-ranging areas of coooperation.  

 

Minister Maliki also visited the homes of several current and former Brunei Ministers, and other senior Brunei personalities to exchange Hari Raya greetings. This annual Hari Raya visit reflects the longstanding and unique bilateral ties between Singapore and Brunei which are underpinned by warm personal ties, frequent high-level exchanges, and a shared commitment to expand bilateral cooperation into new and emerging areas such as food and medical supply resilience, green economy, energy, and civil service exchanges.
