President of Romania His Excellency Klaus Werner Iohannis will make a State Visit to Singapore from 9 to 12 March 2023 at the invitation of President Halimah Yacob. The State Visit coincides with the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Romania. President Iohannis will be accompanied by First Lady Carmen Iohannis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu, and senior officials from the Romanian Presidential Office.

President Iohannis will receive a ceremonial welcome at the Istana on 10 March 2023. He will call on President Halimah, and have a meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. President Iohannis and First Lady Carmen Iohannis will have a new orchid hybrid named in their honour during the visit. They will also be hosted to a State Banquet by President Halimah and Mr Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee.
