Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman is in Jordan on a working visit.

Minister Maliki called on His Royal Highness (HRH) Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II at Al Husseiniya Palace earlier today. He conveyed a letter from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong inviting HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein to visit Singapore. Minister Maliki also affirmed the warm, longstanding relations between Singapore and Jordan, underpinned by the strong personal ties between our leaders. Minister Maliki and HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein agreed that there was scope to explore opportunities for bilateral collaboration in digitialisation, technical vocational education and training, youth exchanges and inter-faith dialogue. Minister Maliki also expressed Singapore’s appreciation for His Majesty King Abdullah II’s leadership role in fostering inter-faith harmony and countering extremism.

Minister Maliki attended a dialogue session with Singaporean students studying in Jordan on 21 October 2022.

Minister Maliki will depart Jordan for Singapore tonight.
