Official Visit of the Prime Minister of Japan, His Excellency Kishida Fumio, 10 to 11 June 2022

The Prime Minister of Japan, His Excellency Kishida Fumio, will visit Singapore from 10 to 11 June 2022 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The visit underscores the excellent relations between Singapore and Japan and builds upon the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2021.

Prime Minister Kishida will deliver the keynote address at the 19th International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue on 10 June 2022. Prime Minister Kishida will attend an official Welcome Ceremony held in his honour at the Istana on 11 June 2022. He will call on President Halimah Yacob and meet Prime Minister Lee, who will also host an Official Lunch. Prime Minister Kishida will have a new orchid hybrid named in his honour during his visit.
