Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for Education Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman will visit Timor-Leste from 18 to 20 May 2022 to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Dr Jose Ramos-Horta and the 20th Anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Timor-Leste. The visit coincides with the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Timor-Leste on 20 May 2022.
Minister Maliki will attend commemorative events, including a dinner hosted by outgoing President Dr Francisco Guterres Lú-Olo, the inauguration ceremony for President-elect Dr Ramos-Horta and an Official Ceremony for the Commemoration of the Restoration of Independence of Timor-Leste. Minister Maliki will also meet Timor-Leste leaders during his visit.
Minister Maliki will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
