Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as part of a visit to the Middle East.
Minister Balakrishnan met and was hosted to lunch by UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation His Highness Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (ABZ). As small states and hubs in our respective regions, Singapore and the UAE share mutual interests. The ministers had an in depth exchange on regional and global developments. Minister Balakrishnan also congratulated the UAE for its successful hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai despite the pandemic.
Minister Balakrishnan also met Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala Investment Company His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak. They exchanged views on pandemic recovery, and discussed regional and global developments.
