PMO Press Statement: PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit Jakarta, Indonesia for ASEAN Leaders' Meeting (April 2021)

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a visit to Jakarta, Indonesia, on 24 April 2021, to attend an ASEAN Leaders’ Meeting.

The Meeting is organised by Brunei, as the 2021 ASEAN Chair, and will be held at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. Leaders and representatives from ASEAN Member States are expected to attend the meeting. The ASEAN Leaders will discuss the situation in Myanmar, which has had a serious impact on the peace and stability of ASEAN and the region.

PM will be accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will be the Acting Prime Minister in PM’s absence.
