Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Dr Nguyen Thien Nhan will visit Singapore as the 66th Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellow from 24 to 28 August 2019.
Dr Nhan will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. He will be hosted to lunch by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean and hosted to dinner by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam. He will also meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing, and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Education and Second Minister for Finance Indranee Rajah. Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship (LKYEF) Chairman Lee Tzu Yang will host a welcome dinner in honour of Dr Nhan.
Dr Nhan will receive briefings by Singapore agencies such as the Centre for Liveable Cities, Centre for Strategic Futures, Land Transport Authority and Urban Redevelopment Authority. Dr Nhan will also visit the National University of Singapore, and attend a roundtable with Singapore businesses.
Established in 1991, the LKYEF invites outstanding individuals to visit Singapore. The Fellows are chosen on the basis of their track records and extraordinary potential to contribute to the development of their nations and to bilateral relations with Singapore.
