The MFA Spokesperson said:
“The Singapore Government is saddened to learn of the loss of lives caused by the train derailment in Yilan County yesterday. We send our condolences to the families affected by the accident and wish the injured a speedy recovery.
There are currently no reports of Singaporean casualties and the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei is in touch with the local authorities.
