MFA Press Statement: Official Visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Aloysio Nunes Ferreira, 7 to 9 May 2018

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Aloysio Nunes Ferreira will be making an Official Visit to Singapore from 7 to 9 May. This is Minister Nunes Ferreira’s second visit to Singapore, following his introductory visit in September 2017. The visit reaffirms Singapore’s strong ties with Brazil, and comes after both countries commemorated the 50^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations last year.

During his visit, Minister Nunes Ferreira will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 8 May and meet Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations S. Iswaran on 7 May. Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan will also host Minister Nunes Ferreira and his delegation to breakfast on 7 May.

Minister Nunes Ferreira will be accompanied by officials from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The delegation will depart Singapore on 9 May.
