MFA Spokesman’s Comments on the earthquake in Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh, Indonesia on 7 December 2016

Singapore is shocked by the tragic loss of lives and serious damage caused by the earthquake that struck Pidie Jaya Regency, Aceh on 7 December 2016. The Government of Singapore expresses our deepest condolences to the Government of Indonesia and the families of the victims in this time of grief.

MFA is in touch with the local authorities and Singapore stands ready to assist if required.
