Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli and his spouse were in Brunei Darussalam from 19 to 22 July 2015 for his annual Hari Raya visit. Minister Masagos was accompanied by Minister of State for National Development and Defence Dr Maliki Osman, Minister of State for National Development Mr Desmond Lee and their spouses.
On 19 July 2015, Minister Masagos and the delegation visited the Istana Nurul Iman. The delegation personally conveyed the Hari Raya wishes of Singapore’s leaders to the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Raja Isteri, Her Majesty Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha, and the Royal Family. Minister Masagos reaffirmed the close ties and warm friendship between the two countries.
Over the past four days, Minister Masagos and the delegation attended the Open Houses of numerous senior Bruneian leaders, including his host, Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Badaruddin Othman. Minister and the delegation were also hosted to a breakfast by Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Pehin Lim Jock Seng. Earlier today, Minister Masagos was the Guest-of-Honour at a Hari Raya Open House organised by the Singapore High Commission in Bandar Seri Begawan. Bruneian Ministers and other senior officials attended the Open House.
