MFA Press Statement: Vist of Members of European Parliament from the International Trade (INTA) Committee, 1-2 April 2015

            The International Trade (INTA) Committee of the European Parliament comprising its Chairman Mr Bernd Lange (Germany) and another member, Mr Sorin Moisa (Romania), visited Singapore on 1-2 April 2015.  During the visit, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs and Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Grace Fu hosted the two Members of the European Parliament and their aides to lunch.  They discussed trade and investment relations between the European Union (EU) and Singapore and exchanged views on developments in Asia and Europe.

             The INTA delegation also held separate meetings with Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Assistant Secretary-General and MP Mr Patrick Tay and a delegation of Singapore MPs comprising Mr Baey Yam Keng, Ms Foo Mee Har and Ms Tin Pei Ling.
