The Government of Singapore is saddened to learn that General Vo Nguyen Giap passed away on 4 October 2013.  General Giap played a pivotal role in Vietnam’s fight for independence. 

 

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to express his condolences.
