The President of Georgia, His Excellency Mikheil Saakashvili met President Tony Tan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana on 29 July 2013. At the meetings, the leaders affirmed the friendly relations between Georgia and Singapore. They exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade and investments, and discussed developments in their respective countries and regions.

President Saakashvili also met with Minister for Trade and Industry Mr Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for National Development Mr Khaw Boon Wan and Minister for Health Mr Gan Kim Yong.
