MFA Press Release: Visit of Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms Grace Fu to Japan, 25 March 2013

Minister, Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Grace Fu, who is leading the Singapore delegation to the 9th Japan-Singapore Symposium in Tokyo, met Japanese Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida today.  The Ministers reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relationship and discussed ways to further deepen friendship and cooperation between Singapore and Japan, including through people-to-people exchanges.  Minister Fu welcomed Japan’s active support for ASEAN and looked forward to Japan’s participation in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) negotiations.  Earlier in the day, Minister Fu also met with Environment Minister Nobuteru Ishihara.
