Administrator of the UNDP, The Right Honourable Helen Clark, will visit Singapore from 11 to 13 March 2012 at the invitation of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Distinguished Visitors Programme (MFADVP). The MFADVP aims to bring distinguished personalities to Singapore to promote mutual understanding and cooperation, through the exchange of views with Singapore leaders and senior government officials.
Ms Clark's programme will include meetings with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Finance and Minister for Manpower Tharman Shanmugaratnam; Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Minister for National Development Khaw Boon Wan, Minister Shanmugam and Head of Civil Service Peter Ong. Ms Clark will also deliver the 32nd Singapore Lecture on "The Importance of Governance for Sustainable Development" on 13 March 2012.
