MFA Press Statement: Call by President of the Republic of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson

The President of the Republic of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson paid a courtesy call on President Tony Tan at the Istana in the afternoon of 23 February 2012. President Grímsson is in Singapore to deliver a keynote address at the World Oceans Summit organised by The Economist.

 

During the call, the two leaders reaffirmed the good bilateral relations between Singapore and Iceland. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest such as climate change and the economic crisis in Europe.
