During his visit to Singapore to participate in the Singapore Air Show 2012, Minister-President of the Free State of Saxony Mr Stanislaw Tillich paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana in the morning of 16 February 2012. The two leaders reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations between Singapore and Germany and exchanged views on how to further deepen cooperation between Singapore and the federal state of Saxony, such as in the fields of aviation and high-technology. Minister-President Tillich updated PM Lee on Saxony's social and economic development, and both leaders also exchanged views on the financial crisis in Europe, climate change and other international issues.
Mr Tillich also called on Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr Lui Tuck Yew and Minister of State (Trade and Industry) Mr Lee Yi Shyan.
