MFA Press Statement: Bombing and shooting in Norway

Singapore strongly condemns the bombing in Oslo and shooting on the island of Utoeya. We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, and to the Government and people of Norway. The attacks underscore the common terrorist threat that we continue to face today. Singapore stands firmly behind the Norwegian Government in its fight against terrorism.


Singaporeans in Norway or intending to travel to Norway should exercise vigilance, be mindful of their personal safety and heed the instructions from the local authorities. They should register with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at eregister.mfa.gov.sg so that we can contact them in the event of an emergency.
