President of the Republic of Honduras Porfirio Lobo Sosa called on and was hosted to lunch by President S R Nathan today. President Lobo is in Singapore for a working visit from 23 to 25 February 2011. This is the first visit by a Honduran President to Singapore.
President Nathan welcomed President Lobo and his delegation to Singapore. During the call and discussion during the lunch, President Lobo updated President Nathan on the current developments in Honduras, and expressed keen interest to learn from Singapore on how we developed our urban infrastructure, industries, and economy. President Nathan shared some of Singapore's developmental experiences, and wished President Lobo well in implementing his long term development plan for Honduras.
