Below are the MFA Spokesman's comments on the boat that capsized en route from Sibu to Mersing in Malaysia:

"The body of one of the missing Singaporeans has been recovered and identified by family members. He is Mr Tor Soon Kwee. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our Consulate-General in Johor Baru will assist in the repatriation of the body to Singapore. Search operations for the remaining Singaporean are on-going.

One Singaporean remains warded in hospital."
