President S R Nathan will make a working visit to China from 16 to 23 August 2010. President will visit Beijing from 16 to 20 August 2010 and Shanghai from 20 to 23 August 2010. While in Beijing, ...

President S R Nathan will make a working visit to China from 16 to 23 August 2010. President will visit Beijing from 16 to 20 August 2010 and Shanghai from 20 to 23 August 2010.

While in Beijing, President will call on President Hu Jintao and be hosted to dinner by Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Jia Qinglin. President will also meet former Vice-Premier Li Lanqing and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi. In Shanghai, President will visit the World Expo in support of the Singapore Pavilion and meet Shanghai Party Secretary Yu Zhengsheng. President will also meet the Overseas Singaporean communities in Beijing and Shanghai.

President will be accompanied by Mrs Nathan and senior officials from the President's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
