Indonesian President Dr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will make an official visit to Singapore on 12 November 2009 prior to attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting from 14-15 November 2009. This is one of President Yudhoyono's first bilateral visits since his inauguration on 20 October 2009, which Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong attended. These visits reflect the warm ties between the two countries.
In Singapore, President Yudhoyono will call on President S R Nathan and meet Prime Minister Lee and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Prime Minister Lee and Mrs Lee will also host President Yudhoyono, First Lady Mrs Ani Bambang Yudhoyono and his delegation to dinner. President Yudhoyono will be accompanied by several cabinet ministers, including Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Defence Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Trade Minister Mari Pangestu, Industry Minister M. S. Hidayat, State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, State Minister for Youth And Sports Andi Mallarangeng and Head of Investment Coordinating Board Gita Wirjawan.
