Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will visit the United Arab Emirates from 5 - 10 October 2009. During the visit, SMS Zainul is scheduled to call on the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Gargash and other senior officials in Abu Dhabi.
SMS Zainul will also visit Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai. In Ras Al Khaimah, SMS Zainul is scheduled to call on the Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi. In Dubai, SMS Zainul will be the guest of honour at the "Nusantara Aidilfitri" event organised by the Singapore Muslim Group for Singaporeans living in Dubai.
