MFA Press Statement: Singapore's Further Humanitarian Assistance to Countries Affected by Typhoon Ketsana Through the Singapore Red Cross

The Singapore Government will contribute another US$50,000 as seed money to kickstart the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) joint appeal drive for donations for those countries in the region affected by Typhoon Ketsana, including Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

This is in addition to the US$20,000 contributed by the Singapore Government on 29 September 2009 to
the SRC to kickstart its appeal for donations for those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines, and the US$30,000 worth of humanitarian relief supplies that have been despatched to the Philippines.
