Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, who is in Tokyo on a working visit with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, went to the residence of the late former Japanese Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa today, where a memorial service was being held for Mr Nakagawa. Minister Yeo paid his respects, and conveyed his deepest condolences to Mr Nakagawa's widow, Mrs Yuko Nakagawa, and her family. Mr Nakagawa was an old friend and colleague of Minister Yeo. Mr Nakagawa had also served as Japan's Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.
