MFA Press Statement: Visit of Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed to the Riau Islands Province, 12 – 14 August 2009

Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Foreign Affairs Zainul Abidin Rasheed will visit the Riau Islands Province (KEPRI) from 12 - 14 August 2009. SMS Zainul will attend the Singapore National Day reception in Batam on 12 August 2009 as Guest-of-Honour, and will meet the Governor of KEPRI Mr Ismeth Abdullah as well as senior KEPRI officials. SMS Zainul will also visit Karimun and Lingga, where he will meet the Regents of Karimun and Lingga to discuss ways to enhance cultural cooperation on Malay heritage issues.
