MFA Press Statement: Call on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo by Executive Director of the UN Development Fund For Women, Dr Ines Alberdi, 6 August 2009

UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) Executive Director Dr Ines Alberdi called on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today. Dr Alberdi is visiting Singapore for the 14th APEC Women Leaders Network Meeting. During the call, Dr Alberdi and Minister Yeo exchanged views on current issues affecting women around the world and the impact of rapid urbanisation in Asia on family patterns. They also discussed how Singapore and UNIFEM could increase future collaboration.
