United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will make a working visit to Singapore from 2 to 3 July 2009. This will be Mr Ban's first visit to Singapore since taking office in 2007. Mr Ban will be accompanied by UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Mr B. Lynn Pascoe, Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Myanmar Mr Ibrahim Gambari and other senior UN officials. Mr Ban will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and be hosted to dinner by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at the Istana. Mr Ban is scheduled to leave Singapore for Myanmar on 3 July 2009.
