MFA Press Statement: Appointment Of Singapore's Honorary Consul-General In Toronto, Canada

The Government of the Republic of Singapore, with the agreement of the Government of Canada, has appointed Mr David A. Brown as Singapore's Honorary Consul-General in Toronto, Canada.

Mr Brown, 69, is a Counsel with law firm, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. He is the Founding Chair of the Council of Governors for the Canadian Public Accountability Board, the Chair of the Public Policy Forum, and the Chair of the Governance and Leadership Council of the Ontario Hospital Association. Mr Brown is also the Chair of the Canadian Auditing and Assurances Standards Oversight Council, and the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University Health Network.

The Singapore Consulate-General in Toronto, Canada, will commence operations from 25 May 2009. The address is:
