Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written a condolence letter to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the passing of her husband, Dr MA Wazed Miah. The text of the letter is as below:

Dear Prime Minister,
On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I wish to convey our deepest condolences to you, your family and the people and Government of Bangladesh on the passing of Dr MA Wazed Miah.
With Dr Wazed's passing, Bangladesh has lost an eminent nuclear physicist who had made important contributions to the development of nuclear science in Bangladesh.
I hope that the memories of Dr Wazed will fortify you and your family in this time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult period.
