The Deputy Premier and Minister of Energy and Industry of the State of Qatar His Excellency Abdulla Bin Hamad Al-Attiyah will visit Singapore from 6 to 8 November 2008 at the invitation of Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong. Senior Minister Goh last met Deputy Premier Al-Attiyah during his official visit to the State of Qatar in January 2008. Deputy Premier Al-Attiyah will be accompanied by a group of senior officials.
On 7 November, Deputy Premier Al-Attiyah will call on Senior Minister Goh and be hosted to lunch by the Senior Minister. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Wong Kan Seng will also be present at the lunch. Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang will call on Deputy Premier Al-Attiyah to discuss possible areas of bilateral co-operation. Deputy Premier Al-Attiyah will be briefed on Singapore's energy policy by the Energy Market Authority (EMA).
