MFA Press Statement: Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister For National Security Prof S Jayakumar's Visit To London, 25 - 28 October 2008 And Paris, 29 - 31 October 2008

Deputy Prime Minister Prof. S. Jayakumar is visiting United Kingdom and France for a working visit in his capacity as Coordinating Minister for National Security. During his visit to London (25-28 October 2008), DPM Jayakumar met with Lord Chancellor & Secretary of Justice Jack Straw, Secretary of State for Foreign & Commonwealth Affairs David Miliband and Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government Hazel Blears.

In Paris (29 - 31 Oct 08), DPM Jayakumar will be meeting with Minister of the Interior Michèle Alliot-Marie and Minister of Defence Hervé Morin as well as other security and intelligence experts/senior officials. DPM is accompanied by senior officials from the National Security Coordination Secretariat.
