MFA Press Statement: Official Visit to Singapore by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Pham Gia Khiem

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Excellency Mr Pham Gia Khiem, will make an official bilateral visit to Singapore from 20-21 May 2008, after his attendance at the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting on 19 May 2008 in Singapore.

DPM Pham Gia Khiem will separately call on President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong during his visit. He will meet and be hosted to dinner by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. He will also have a bilateral meeting with Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang and receive a joint briefing by the Economic Development Board and International Enterprise Singapore. DPM Khiem will be the Guest-of-Honour at the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam Festival which commemorates the 35th Anniversary of Singapore-Vietnam relations.

DPM Khiem will be accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
