The President of the Republic of Rwanda, His Excellency Paul Kagame, will make an Official Visit to Singapore from 20 to 23 May 2008 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. This is the first Official Visit to Singapore by President Kagame.
President Kagame will be accompanied by Ms Rosemary Museminali, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr Murekezi Anastase, Minister of Public Service and Labour and other officials.
President Kagame will call on President S R Nathan and meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. Prime Minister Lee will host an Official Dinner in honour of President Kagame. President Kagame will deliver a Public Lecture entitled "Africa and Rwanda: From Crisis to Socioeconomic Development" organised by the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. In addition, President Kagame will visit the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise and an Institute of Technical Education, and meet Singapore businessmen.
