US Senator Joseph Lieberman paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong this morning. Senator Lieberman, who is Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, is attending the Shangri-la Dialogue in Singapore. Mr Lee and Senator Lieberman exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, the continuing fight against extremist terrorism, and America's engagement of a rising Asia, including Southeast Asia. They also further affirmed the strong bilateral relations between Singapore and the US.
