The Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, called on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo on 11 February 2008. Following the call, Minister Yeo hosted a dinner for Shaikh Khalid, who is making his first official visit to Singapore from 10 to 14 February at Minister Yeo's invitation. While expressing satisfaction with the excellent relations between Singapore and Bahrain, Minister Yeo and Shaikh Khalid also agreed that both sides should explore new areas of cooperation in order to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation. Minister Yeo and Shaikh Khalid also had a fruitful exchange of views on recent developments in Asia and the Middle East.
