Minister George Yeo met with Shenzhen Mayor Xu Zongheng on 13 October 2007. Minister Yeo and Mayor Xu renewed their personal ties and reviewed the progress in bilateral cooperation between Singapore and Shenzhen. Mayor Xu briefed Minister Yeo's delegation on the latest developments in Shenzhen. Minister Yeo welcomed Shenzhen's continuing interest to study and bring in Singapore's public administration expertise and expressed hope that both sides will continue to step up official, people-to-people and business linkages. Minister Yeo last met Mayor Xu in July this year.
