Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo hosted lunch today in the honour of His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prince Turki is visiting Singapore under the Middle East Eminent Persons Programme. Minister Yeo and Prince Turki exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, specifically on Iraq and Iran, as well as the Middle East Peace Process. Minister Yeo and Prince Turki also updated each other on domestic developments. Minister Yeo shared with Prince Turki his views on the rise of China. Minister Yeo also accepted Prince Turki's invitation to address the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies next year.
