Singapore was shocked and saddened to learn of the bomb attack in the commercial centre of Male', in the Maldives on 29 September 2007, in which 12 innocent tourists were injured. We extend our sympathies to those affected. Singapore condemns such acts of violence, which are aimed at disrupting the peace of the country, creating fear and disrupting the livelihood of its people.
