MFA Press Statement: Bilateral Meeting Between Minister For Foreign Affairs George Yeo And The DPRK Minister Of Foreign Affairs Pak Ui-Chun In Manila On 1 August 2007

Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo met with the DPRK Minister of Foreign Affairs Pak Ui-chun in Manila at the sidelines of the 40th AMM/PMC/14th ARF.

The Ministers reaffirmed the longstanding bilateral relations between Singapore and the DPRK, and exchanged views on regional developments including the Six-Party Talks and the unification of the Korean Peninsula. Minister Yeo accepted Minister Pak's invitation to visit the DPRK, and hoped that he would be able to do so next year while Singapore is the Chair of ASEAN.
