Foreign Minister George Yeo and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi noted that the recent bilateral visit of PRC Vice Premier Wu Yi had attained very positive outcomes. Both sides also discussed recent developments in ASEAN-China relations, which were progressing very well, and expressed the hope that the Investment Chapter of the ASEAN-China FTA would be ready for signing at the Singapore Summit this year. Minister Yeo and Minister Yang further exchanged views on the importance of the ASEAN plus Three community building process, the importance of the EAS, and ASEAN's community building efforts.
