In response to media queries on Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo's call on Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Tzip Livni, the MFA Spokesman said:
"Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo called on the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel Tzipi Livni, who also hosted dinner for Minister and Mrs Yeo on 29 April 2007. They signed an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of the State of Israel on Cooperation in the Fields of Culture, Education and Science.
The Ministers discussed the state of bilateral relations and agreed that both countries should broaden bilateral cooperation. Minister Yeo also extended an invitation to Vice Prime Minister Livni to visit Singapore. Both Ministers also had a fruitful exchange of views on developments in the Middle East and Asia."
