The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold its Fifth Meeting of Singapore Honorary Consuls-General and Honorary Consuls from 9 to 14 April 2007. The last such meeting was held in Singapore in November 2001.
This Meeting, which will be attended by 25 of our Honorary Consuls-General and Honorary Consuls, is intended to brief them on the latest political, economic and social developments in Singapore. The Meeting will also update them on the objectives and priorities of Singapore.
Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will open the Meeting on 10 April 2007 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Honorary Consuls-General and Honorary Consuls will call on Prime Minister Lee and attend a dinner hosted by President and Mrs S R Nathan. During their stay they will also be briefed by various ministries and government agencies.
