Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security & Minister for Law, S Jayakumar will lead a delegation to New Delhi, India to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas as its Chief Guest. The event, to be held from 7 to 9 Jan 07, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Since 2003, the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas has been an annual event which brings the expertise and knowledge of the overseas Indian community to India through networking opportunities and seminars.
DPM Jayakumar will be giving an address during the event. He will also be meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Ministers and members of the Indian business community.
DPM Jayakumar will be accompanied by Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs & Information, Communications and the Arts Balaji Sadasivan, senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
