The Prime Minister of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, His Excellency Bouasone Bouphavanh, will make an official visit to Singapore from 28-30 January 2007 at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. This is Prime Minister Bouasone's first visit to Singapore since his appointment in June 2006.
Prime Minister Bouasone will be accompanied by Mr Soulivong Daravong, President of the Committee for Planning and Investment, Prof Dr Somkot Mangnomek, Minister of Education, Dr Nam Vignaket, Minister of Industry and Commerce and senior Lao officials.
Prime Minister Bouasone will call on President S R Nathan and Prime Minister Lee. Prime Minister Lee will also host Prime Minister Bouasone to an official dinner. During his visit, Prime Minister Bouasone will meet senior representatives of Singapore companies and visit a logistics park.
