MFA Spokesman's Comments on United Daily News report speculating that a Taiwan Leader may fly to Palau via Singapore

Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore - $name

In response to media queries about a United Daily News report today speculating that a Taiwan leader may fly to Palau via Singapore, the MFA Spokesman laughed and said:

"I know that Taiwanese newspapers are often less than totally accurate in their reporting, but I am surprised to learn that they have totally lost their sense of direction."

"A glance at any map would show that Singapore is not on the way from Taiwan to Palau. The report is totally false."
