The Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, will make a State Visit to Singapore from 9 to 11 June 2005. The Amir will be accompanied by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani; the Minister of Finance Mr Yousef Hussain Kamal; the Minister of Economy and Commerce, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Ahmed Bin Jassim Al-Thani, members of the Qatari Royal Family and senior officials.
The Amir will meet Acting President Sim Kee Boon, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. Prime Minister Lee will also host a dinner in honour of the Amir. The Amir will address a Qatar-Singapore Business Forum, which is organised by International Enterprise Singapore and where he will be introduced by Senior Minister Goh. The Amir will also visit EDB, MPA and URA.
