VISIT TO SINGAPORE BY THE DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE LAO PEOPLE'S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC SOMSAVAT LENGSAVAD
(16-17 AUGUST 2004)

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Somsavat Lengsavad, will visit Singapore from 16 to 17 August 2004 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Law, Prof S Jayakumar.

Mr Somsavat Lengsavad will call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as well as meet separately with Prof S Jayakumar and Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. They will discuss Singapore's bilateral relations with Laos as well as cooperation within ASEAN.
